CFRA 2021 Impacts on FEHA/ADA, Work Comp, Pregnancy and Medical Leaves: Red Flags for Small and Large Employers

The new CA CFRA Amendments raise risk to small employers trying to manage and control medical leaves for employees under CFRA for the first time, with and without COVID-19. Employers with over 50 employees now have a brand new set of leave benefits with grandparents, sibling, and adult children, as well as other benefits - with up to 24 weeks of CFRA and non CFRA - FMLA leave. Employers with 5 or more employees will be providing up to 12 weeks of job protected / benefit protected leave plus 17 1/3 weeks of PDL, as well as potential leave under ADA/FEHA when CFRA ends. In this comprehensive deep dive workshop you will learn the tricks and strategies to staying compliant and out of court while assuring your employees are getting access to leave and accommodation benefits, without running afoul to the NEW CFRA.
