Math at The State by The Stanislaus Math Council

The Stanislaus Math Council is excited to host its first Math at the State (MATHS) Sat. Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. MATHS highlights interesting careers that use mathematics and follows up that presentation with a fun movie. The speaker will be Adam Sidwell, computer graphics artist, and the accompanying movie is Toy Story III. In addition to authoring the popular children's books Evertaster, Fetch and Chum, Sidwell creates computer graphics for movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean, King Kong, Pacific Rim, Transformers, and Tron. He will talk about how math is used in computer graphics.
