| The Modesto Junior College Basketball program will hold Coaches vs. Cancer Night on Tuesday, February 6 as the Pirates take on Santa Rosa Junior College, with the half the net proceeds from ticket sales donated to the American Cancer Society. The men’s basketball team tips off at 5:30 p.m. and the women play at 7:30 p.m. in the MJC Gymnasium on East Campus. The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches that is supported by the California Community College Athletic Association. MJC’s Coaches vs. Cancer Night provides an opportunity to increase cancer awareness on campus and in the community, and raises money to fight the disease. Tickets to the basketball night are $5 general admission and $3 for senior citizens and students, with free entry for children under seven years of age. |
