| A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES: CELEBRATING JOHN WILLIAMS Stuart Chafetz, guest conductor Program Selections from JOHN WILLIAMS to include: The Cowboys Overture Excerpts from Close Encounters of the Third Kind "The March" from 1941 "Harry's Wondrous World" from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone "Viktor's Tale" from The Terminal "Adventures on Earth" from E.T. -INTERMISSION- "Superman March" from Superman Theme from Jaws Theme from Jurassic Park "The Flight to Neverland" from Hook Theme from Schindler's List Star Wars Suite III. "The Imperial March" II. "Princess Leia's Theme" I. "Main Title" No other composer in the history of cinema has had such a profound impact on an audience, and added so much texture to a film, as John Williams. Star Wars… Jaws… Superman… Harry Potter. These are just a handful of the scores we’ll feature during our final POPS concert, which honors the enormous legacy of this movie giant. |
