Educator, photographer and birder Jim Gain, inspired by the movie The Big Year, decided to see how many different bird species he could photograph over four seasons in 2016. His breathtaking film, shot in Merced and Stanislaus counties, beautifully captures thousands of wild birds and their habitats.
