THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett's play is based on the true story of a teenage Jewish girl who kept a diary about her family's two years in hiding from the Nazis during World War II. Despite the family’s deprivation, Anne continues to believe, as she states her diary several times, in the inherent goodness of people. Anne’s diary ends abruptly in August 1944, when she and her family are taken into custody by the Germans and transported to concentration camps. “The Diary of Anne Frank” was the winner of the 1956 Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, Critics Circle Award and virtually every other coveted prize in theatre. The play will be directed by Heike Hambley.
