Join us for a night of laughter, compassion and inspiration at a screening of “The Great Gilly Hopkins” – a movie about the life of a foster youth in care. Build awareness of the needs of foster children in our community, celebrate excellent foster and kinship caregiving and learn about how you can become a foster parent in Stanislaus County. After the movie hear feedback from those with lived experience in our local foster care system and participate in an engaging quiz about the movie and foster care. Admission is free to all and brought to you by Stanislaus County Child Protective Services Resource Family Approval (RFA) department. Resource Family Approval is the California state system to approve foster and relative caregivers. Our program seeks to: promote excellence in caregiving and to provide supportive resources for resource families and youth in care. Doors at 5; film at 6 p.m. Admission is FREE
