Worth Your Fight

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) wants more water to flow into the Bay-Delta, and they have targeted three tributaries of the lower San Joaquin River – specifically the Merced, Stanislaus and Tuolumne Rivers.

Our region has never faced a challenge of this proportion. This water grab will impact our region’s way of life. All so we can be forced by state bureaucrats to address larger statewide problems we didn’t create and can’t solve.  Let’s be clear; this isn’t just an attack on agriculture. The impacts are severe and will go beyond water and power customers.

The SWRCB will be holding public hearings about the plan.  We encourage you to attend the Modesto hearing on December 20th at 9 a.m. at Modesto Centre Plaza, 1000 K Street, Modesto, CA 95354 to voice your concerns and also to submit written comments to the SWRCB.
