About Us

Lighthouse Psychological Services... A Beacon of Light Inc. is a child psychology practice in Modesto, California, dedicated to supporting the emotional well-being and healthy development of children ages 12 and under.

Founded by licensed child psychologist Dr. Shontinese C. Huey, Lighthouse provides individualized, developmentally informed care for children experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, emotional and behavioral challenges, family stressors, and relationship difficulties.

Services include child therapy, play therapy, intake assessments, family therapy, and parent education and support. Treatment incorporates creativity, compassion, and evidence-based interventions tailored to each child's developmental needs and unique experiences.

At Lighthouse, we recognize that every child and family has their own story. Parents are valued partners in the treatment process, with opportunities to better understand their children, explore their own experiences as parents, develop practical strategies, and strengthen family relationships.
