Central California Art Association is an organization of volunteers and artists working together to promote the visual arts. CCAA was established in 1952 by a small group of artists committed to supporting the arts in our community. The Mistlin Gallery is run by volunteer members of the Central California Art Association, who endeavor to promote and provide art education and cultural opportunities for residents of Modesto and the surrounding region. Our 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization is a cooperative and growing membership of over 200 artists and art lovers, with an 11 member Board of Directors who provide corporate supervision. To become a member artist, or a member at large, visit our membership page, or visit the gallery to pick up your membership application. Donations are always welcome!
CCAA’s exhibition space and education center, The Mistlin Gallery, is located at 1015 J Street on the first floor of the City/County Building in Downtown Modesto where you can enjoy validated parking and handicap accessibility.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to actively support regional artists, artistic activity and the placement of visual art in the community, to promote and provide the highest quality visual art education, to encourage excellence in the visual arts, and to promote and provide cultural opportunities for all residents of Modesto and the surrounding region.
The Mistlin Gallery Gift Shop showcases a wonderful collection of pieces made by local artisans: jewelry, pottery, fiber art, prints and other small works that are ideal for your gift giving needs.
